With the release of Arcane Season 2, Netflix has introduced a new character to the League of Legends-inspired universe: Isha, a young girl with a background that ties her with the fan favorite Jinx in a very short time.
When Does Isha First Appear?
Isha first appears in Arcane Season 2, Episode 2, which is called “Watch It All Burn.” Her introduction is a dramatic one and takes place in the dark alleys of Zaun, the Undercity of the game’s world. While escaping from a group of thugs, Isha shows her spirit and fights back, and even gets a chance to bite one of the thugs before escaping. However, her attempt to escape goes sour when she slips and falls – right into the arms of Jinx.
Jinx gets involved when the thugs follow her, and she quickly knocks out all three of them in her style. After that, Jinx has a scene with Isha where she says to her, ‘You feel it, that buzzing behind your eyes… because you know, in a moment, it could all… poow. The best feeling in the world, kid.’
What Does This Interaction Reveal?
This meeting with Isha provides some valuable lessons about the character transformation of Jinx in the second season. However, Jinx’s act of saving Isha from the clutches of her captors demonstrates that there is still good in her, a sign of the little girl she used to be. Perhaps, Jinx sees herself in Isha, the part of her that was innocent before she turned into a criminal, the most wanted in Piltover. While Vi abandoned her to be on her own, Jinx takes Isha’s hand and tries to protect her.
Isha and Jinx’s Growing Bond
It does not take long for Isha to be put to the test in terms of her loyalty. In Episode 3, “Finally Got the Name Right,” she is not afraid to stand up for Jinx and die for her by shielding her from Vi. When Caitlyn, Vi’s teammate, aims her rifle at Jinx, Isha does not surrender. Her devotion and courage are memorable, and it becomes evident that she is not just an ordinary observer of the events in Jinx’s life.

Isha’s character is also depicted in music in Arcane Season 2 with the song known as “Isha’s Song” sung by the Hong Kong singer and actor Eason Chan. It gives her character more feeling and shows how important she is to the show.
