In a bid to keep the core of the 2024 World Championship-winning roster intact, T1 has extended its jungler Oner to a multi-year deal that will keep him with the team until 2026. The announcement made by T1 shortly after their Worlds triumph in September puts them in a league of their own as the only team in the history of League of Legends to win two titles in a row with the same lineup.
“When I re-signed with T1, I am glad to continue being the jungler for T1,” Oner said in a video message to fans on X (formerly Twitter). “It has been great to be the Winning Worlds two years consecutively, but I am not done yet. I also want to take home the LCK title and make more great moments with our fans in the future seasons.”
Faker, Oner, and Keria remain on the core roster; OFK lineup is almost set
Faker has already been locked in for at least 2025, and Keria has recently re-signed, so Oner’s extension means that T1 has secured three of the five players. This roster has been together since 2021, with Zeus joining as the starting top laner in 2022. They still demonstrate great synergy that comes from years of competing together.
Oner, one of the main players in T1’s success, has been praised for his flexibility and game-shifting plays, particularly in clutch games. His clutch plays have been instrumental in T1’s recent successes, and he has been duly rewarded with the Jungle Player of the Year in 2023 and the LCK Finals MVP in the 2022 Spring Split, T1’s most recent domestic championship.
