Interview after the match – Worlds 2024 Semifinals
Q: First of all, Oner—how do you like the series in general, and if you had to, what number out of 100 would you give your own performance?
A: It feels great to end our losing streak against Gen.G. I would rate myself 85 percent.
Q: Before we get to the games, can you give us some background on your preparation for this match, particularly because you’ve played Gen.G multiple times this year? After your TES matchup did anything change in how you prepared?
A: We understood that Gen.G had a tendency to ban AD mids and AP junglers, such as Nidalee, so we based our practice on those champions.
Q: In Game 2, you brought out Kindred which you have not played in over a year now, Summer 2023. What inspired that choice?
A: We have been building Kindred for a while now and had intentions of using it with certain comps. However, due to an early mistake, we lost our strategy, and we could not execute it to the level we wanted, and that I somewhat regret.
Q: As we are approaching the Grand Final in London, what do you believe will be decisive for T1 to defeat BLG?
A: We have had an up and down relationship with BLG, so it is going to be crucial to go in with a lot of energy and no doubt.
Q: What’s your take on XUN? Do you have any message to BLG?
A: XUN is a great jungler; the fact that the team got to the Worlds final is evidence of that. I wish we can both give a match that the fans will never forget.

Q: Changing the subject a little, I watched a documentary about T1’s chef Alex Kim and he said that you like meat. Two quick questions: what type of meat do you prefer in your meals, and do you have a food that you love but feel bad about eating?
A: I always order kimchi jjigae (Kimchi stew) with meat. It is always easy to get started but very difficult to stop once you have begun.
Q: At MSI, you said that you wanted to improve on the way you take care of yourself. What new has emerged at Worlds in terms of self development?
A: Not something new but we play so many games here that it is giving both mental and physical enhancements automatically.
Q: Are you a first-time visitor to France? What impression did the French fans create in you?
A: What really shocked me was their enthusiasm. I appreciate all the love and we will take that with us to London.
Q: What do you want to tell your fans, perhaps in English?
A: Thank you, everyone!
