Team Spirit’s Unbelievable Comeback Defeats MOUZ
Team Spirit demonstrated their ability to come back from a disastrous defeat in a thrilling series against MOUZ and win 3-0. Following MOUZ’s strong start in the first map and the shut down of Spirit’s up-and-coming talent donk, fans quickly dismissed Spirit’s chances. But, as expected of them, Spirit woke up on the second map and played their hearts out to push the series to a third and final game.
When it was most important, key players stepped up to the plate; magixx played his best game under pressure, and sh1ro showed why he is one of the most consistent players in the game, having one of his best series of the year. This win also makes Team Spirit qualify for the Grand Final of a Major for the first time in the organization’s history.
FaZe Clan Dashes G2’s Dream, Halts NiKo’s Major Journey
On the other side of the bracket, FaZe Clan eliminated G2 Esports in a close-fought series that concluded in a 2-0 victory. The series, however, was far from being a straightforward one. FaZe was very aggressive in the first map and won it easily, but the second map was a very close call on Nuke. G2 was leading 12-10 in the end of the match but due to individual mistakes that are not typical for this team, they lost to FaZe.
As much as ropz delivered a superstar performance for FaZe, the story was as much about G2’s failure as it was FaZe’s success. Snax, who is usually a hit or miss in the IGL role, was one of the few G2 players to step up to the challenge and keep his team in the game. However, the highly anticipated NiKo, m0NESY, and malbsMd failed to deliver in the critical moments that were evident in the match. For NiKo, this loss continues his quest for a Major trophy, while G2 fans are left disappointed once more.

The PW Shanghai Major 2024 Grand Final will be the confrontation of FaZe Clan and Team Spirit, which we saw at the IEM Katowice 2024 Major final where Spirit won.
