If Spirit goes all the way, donk’s rookie year could be the stuff of legends and make 2024 his year. Today’s action started with the match between G2 and Heroic. On paper, this was an easy match up, but Heroic had different plans. After taking a shocking map one victory, Heroic had G2 on the ropes.
However, G2 demonstrated why they are the reigning champions by winning the series in a reverse. MalbsMd was the standout of this victory, especially his 1v3 in overtime on map three that will be remembered as one of the best moments of the tournament. With this resilience and their superstar lineup still intact, G2 remains the favorite to claim the crown.
FaZe Clan Rekindle Against Vitality
FaZe Clan pulled off the biggest surprise of the Quarter-Finals, toppling Vitality 2:1 even though they were the overwhelming outsiders. Some had even dismissed FaZe completely, attributing their poor form in the lead up to this match. However, as tradition has it, FaZe demonstrated why they are always a force to reckon with at a LAN event.
ropz was undoubtedly the star of the show, putting up an incredible performance with a total of 61 kills in three maps. His individual skill led FaZe to the Semi-Finals, and once again, this roster performs at their best when the pressure is on.
