OpTic Gaming, a North American esports organization, has partnered with Spire Motorsports to sponsor a car in the NASCAR Cup Series at the Echopark Texas Grand Prix. The event will take place at the Circuit of the Americas on March 26th, where OpTic branding will feature prominently on Corey LaJoie’s Spire Motorsports car. In addition, OpTic and Spire Motorsports will work together to create a merchandise line.
This is not the first time that OpTic Gaming has partnered with Spire Motorsports. The two companies collaborated on a car partnership for the NASCAR Cup race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in late 2022, which also featured a die-cast model NASCAR cup car with OpTic branding. Spire Motorsports is a racing team that competes in the NASCAR Cup Series, the highest level of stock car racing in the United States.
OpTic Gaming plans to continue working with Spire Motorsports in the future, including the development of a joint merchandise line. The partnership is focused on the upcoming race in Texas, where OpTic Gaming is based. Hector Rodriguez, the CEO of OpTic Gaming, revealed that a hat and shirt will be available soon in the OpTic Shop.
NASCAR has become more receptive to gaming and esports recently, resulting in various collaborations between gaming brands and NASCAR teams and drivers. FaZe Clan and Logitech’s gaming sub-brand have collaborated with NASCAR on a merchandise collection and as an official partner of racing team 23XI, respectively.
Hector Rodriguez, the Founder and CEO of OpTic Gaming, stated, “OpTic is one of the few organizations bridging the gap between traditional sports and gaming. With NASCAR investing in and growing their esports community, this collaboration just makes sense.”
OpTic Gaming and Spire Motorsports have not announced if the partnership will extend to more races later in the season.
