OG has unveiled its short-term Dota 2 lineup for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 qualifiers and left fans in shock with an unexpected substitute.
The star addition, Nuengnara “23” Teeramahanon, better known as 23savage, is a popular name in the Southeast Asia Dota 2 community. He has a SEA background but also has experience playing for international teams, which makes him an interesting addition to the OG roster.
OG’s (Temporary) Dota 2 Lineup
Following the conclusion of The International 2024, OG announced the departure of two key players: Enzo “Timado” Gianoli and Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov. Timado is expected to be a part of Shopify Rebellion, and bzm has been changed to inactive.
OG was able to quickly fill these voids by signing 23savage and Leon “Nine” Kirilin, Nine being a TI11 champion. 23savage’s carry potential and Nine’s strategic thinking make OG a force to be reckoned with as they advance to the Western Europe qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. However, this dynamic lineup might not be permanent since 23savage is only signed with OG on a trial basis.
Roster Chaos Post-TI
OG is not the only team that is still looking for players to complete the roster for BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024. Other teams are also following the same strategy to meet the qualifiers’ strict deadlines.
For example, Talon Esports has invited Carlo “Kuku” Palad as a stand-in, and Natus Vincere has invited Clement “Puppey” Ivanov and Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan for the DreamLeague Season 24 qualifiers.
On the other hand, Cloud9 has been in a rather unenviable position, deciding to disband and withdraw from the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 qualifier due to the lack of time to complete the formation of the team. Astini, Cloud9’s coach, pointed out that the one-week roster lock period was one of the most difficult in his career.
