OG has now set its Dota 2 lineup for the rest of 2024, and there are a few big changes as of October 19. One of the biggest changes is the temporary absence of the long-time support player and the team captain, Sébastien ‘Ceb’ Debs, which is a major event for the legendary esports organization.
Following previous teases, OG has now confirmed the addition of two new players: Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Leon “Nine” Kirilin. 23savage will play as the Carry and Nine as the Solo Mid. They will be adding to the roster of OG main players Adrián “Wisper” Dobles and Matthew “Ari” Walker, who will be playing the Offlane and Position 4 support positions respectively.
OG also stated that Yap “xNova” Jian Wei and Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann will be trialing for the team; xNova will play as Position 5 support, taking Ceb’s place for now, and KheZu will be the team’s coach.
xNova, who is considered one of the best Dota 2 support players from Southeast Asia, has played for such strong teams as RNG at TI 2022 and IG at TI 2024. This is the first time he joins a team from the Western European region after signing for OG.
On the other hand, KheZu is a Dota 2 player who started playing the game after Heroes of Newerth in 2015. He retired from professional play in 2022 and transitioned to becoming an analyst and commentator for TI and other tournaments, including DreamLeague and ESL.
The last temporary replacement for OG’s roster is Indji “Shad” Lub, who will replace 23savage during the RES Regional Champions event since the Thai carry is still sorting out his European visa. Shad has been a Tier 2 player for quite some time now and recently played for Tundra Esports at PGL Wallachia Season 2 where they finished in third place.
