G2 has announced that Jan “Swani” Müller will be the team’s permanent coach, following the German’s successful six-month stint as an interim coach.
Swani has been with the G2 organization since August 2019 as an analyst, later becoming an assistant coach behind Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam in January 2023.
After XTQZZZ’s dismissal, Swani was appointed as the interim coach until the end of the season, leading G2 to win two trophies at the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023, as well as a 13-match winning streak on LAN.
G2’s next event is the BLAST.tv Paris Major, where they will face TheMongolz in their first match under Swani’s leadership. The coach’s first match will be on May 8.
G2’s current roster includes:
